When I read the dream that mentioned some people were keeping observances that were no longer necessary after the Cross, I knew that was a reference to the keeping of the fall festivals such as the Feast of Tabernacles, which some advocate. At the time, I favored the idea. But this dream prompted me to study this subject in the Bible further. The Lord drew my attention to 1 Cor. 10:11: "Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come." This declaration that the spiritual "end of the world" had come back then, just after the Cross, led me to realize that the time for all the ceremonial types was past; after the Cross, we live in the time of fulfillments. I also realized that God did not call for any movement among His faithful people to observe the Day of Atonement in ceremonial type before 1844. He called for the Advent Movement to prepare people for the fulfillment. So I must confess that the witness of that dream led me back to the Bible, to study it further, and freed me from a wrong idea. Jesus said, "By their fruits ye shall know them," and I would say this constitutes good fruitage, at least for me.
