The Bible is the Word of God and contains the knowledge necessary for salvation. (2 Timothy 3:16, 17)
There is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit--a unity of three co-eternal Persons. (Matthew 28:19)
God the Father is the Creator and Sustainer of all creation. (Genesis 1:1)
God the eternal Son became incarnate in Jesus Christ who suffered and died voluntarily on the cross for our sins and in our place, was raised from the dead and ascended to minister in the heavenly sanctuary on our behalf. He will come again in glory for the final deliverance of His people and the restoration of all things. (John 1:1-3, 14; 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4; Hebrews 2:17, 18; John 14:1-3)
God the eternal Spirit was active with the Father and Son in Creation and the incarnation. He inspired the writers of Scripture, and He draws and convicts human beings, leading them into all truth. (Genesis 1:1, 2; Luke 1:35; 2 Peter 1:21; John 15:26; 16:7, 8)
All humanity is now involved in a great controversy between Christ and Satan regarding the character of God, His law, and His sovereignty. This conflict originated in heaven when a created being in self-exaltation became Satan, God’s adversary, and led into rebellion a portion of the angels. He then led Adam and Eve into sin. Observed by the whole creation, this world became the arena of the universal conflict, out of which the God of love will ultimately be vindicated. (Revelation 12:7-9, 12; Genesis. 3; 1 Corinthians 4:9)
Led by the Holy Spirit, we sense our need, acknowledge our sinfulness, repent of our transgressions, and exercise faith in Jesus as Lord and Christ, as Substitute and Example. Through Christ we are justified and adopted as God’s sons and daughters. Through the Spirit we are born again, sanctified, and given the power to live a holy life, then we have the assurance of salvation. (John 3:3, 16; Ephesians 2:8-10; Hebrews 8:10, 12)
